My dear friend Jordan is married. (I just had to pause, phew, that was crazy to even type). March 19, 2010 she changed her name and became a wife. It's still weird for me to accept, but I have to because I was there for the beautiful ceremony. In fact, I was lucky enough to be asked to stand up with her. The whole wedding weekend was busy, but luckily it was full of lots of yummy food and great company. Oh yeah, and a lot of tears.
My roommate Veronica and I were looking foward to helping our friend say I Do. What we didn't know was that we'd fall in love with her family. From the minute we shook hands or hugged, we were hooked. Her mother and father we so loving and caring. Her aunt and uncle always checked to see if we needed a drink (hey, our kind of people). Her cousins were a hoot and her brother and sister were so supportive and fun. So thank you
Julia, Chuck, Catha, Kim, Mark, Jack, Cameron, and Will. If you are every looking to adopt a redhead daughter, I'm available. No really, my parents wont mind sharing me.
The venue was spectacular, the food delish, the dance floor was slammin' and the emotions were running high. Tears were shed by all. I knew I would tear up when I saw Jordan come down the aisle, but I didn't expect to tear up again when I saw her brother crying and giving her a huge hug or her cousin clutching her with tears, her dad giving a speech, the first dance, do I even need to go on? Seriously, waterworks. The emotions were so strong
because of everyone's love for the bride and groom. I'm so happy for
Jordan to have found such a great man in Chris. She is very lucky to have so many loving people in her life. And as a bonus, they are not only loving but extremely fun.
For a Mother of the Bride's perspective check out Jordan's mother's
blog. It's a great read!
Also, make sure you check out the photographer, Caroline Fontenot. Not only is she a killer photographer, but she's also a blast to have around. Check out her work
here.
Here are just a few of the candid photos Veronica captured of the big event.
